Return to play for Juveniles

Our Juveniles returned to training last week and it has been great to see such high numbers out training in the first week back. Hopefully the juvenile playing calendar will become more clear over the coming weeks. We wish all of our coaches and players well for the year ahead.

 

Condolences to the Little Family 

We regret to inform you of the passing of Patrick Little, 3 Erne Court, Belturbet, who passed away peacefully at Cavan General Hospital surrounded by his loving family on Friday, April 30th and whose funeral mass took place last Sunday. 

All at the club are deeply saddened to hear this news and extend our deepest sympathies to his son, former senior player and club member, Ryan, his partner Sarah, brothers Francis, Peter, Bernard and Michael, sisters Mary and Bridget, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Run with the Rories    

The club will be starting a 4-week walk/jog/run class on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 7-8pm

When: Monday, May 10th 

Where: Rory O’Moore Park

Who? : Suitable for all ages and fitness levels

With restrictions easing, the weather improving and the evenings getting longer, this is a great way to get out, stay fit and healthy, and meet people!

The cost is €30 per person for the 4week block.

As we will be restricted to squads of 15 per block, make sure to book early to avoid disappointment,

Ladies Return to Play

The Club are pleased to announce that Belturbet Ladies are recommencing girls training this week as per government guidelines, only U18s can currently train. County Star and PE Teacher Donna English will take primary girls from 6 to 7pm and secondary girls from 7.10pm-8.10 pm, Donna is very aware of current Covid Guidelines and non-contact training methods. These classes are €3 per person(please have correct change and drop amounts in the box at sub box). On the first night can parents please collect the return to play forms left in the sub box, fill them out in your own car and drop them back at the end of training, a register of attendance will be kept weekly, it will be assumed if your child attends training that they are free from symptoms, not a close contact of any confirmed case and not in a 2 week isolation period. These classes are open to all girls with work on fitness/ball skills/team work etc. All Girls from 2nd class up to 6th year under 18 are welcome regardless of football experience.

We wish our Senior Player Dillon Donnelly all the very best in this huge running challenge of 260 km starting on June 1 around Cavan to raise funds for Multiple Sclerosis.  We would encourage as many people as possible to donate and the link can be found on the Club Facebook Page.

 

 

Senior & Junior Player of the Year   

Congratulations to John Cahill who was named 2020 Senior Player of the Year at the recent Senior Club AGM and  congratulations to Killian Murray who was named 2020 Junior Player of the Year at the recent Senior Club AGM.   

    

  

Club Membership    

Many thanks for your continued strong and loyal support for our club. Family Membership in Club Belturbet is €300 for the year or €240 for the year for an individual membership in Club Belturbet.  If any member wishes to purchase the regular membership the fee for the year is €50. Membership fees for 2021 can be paid  to our club chairman Paul O'Reilly, Vice-Chairman Mark Lawlor or indeed any of the club committee.
