Cornafean Community Litter Pick

Cornafean GFC in conjunction with Cavan County Council are organising a litter pick on next Saturday morning, 27th February, 2021 around the local Cornafean Roads.  This is an excellent initiative in the interest of keeping our local area free from litter.  The County Council are providing pickers, gloves, bags and signage.  For all those wishing to get involved all of the equipment can be picked up at Cornafean Club Grounds this coming Friday 26th February at 6 p.m. to  7 p.m. and this Saturday morning 27th 8.30 a.m. to 9.30 a.m.  Hoping everyone will come on board to help keep our local community clean and tidy.  A bin provided by Cavan County Council will be at Cornafean Park where all litter can be delivered.  Thanks to everyone for your support.

 

Cornafean GFC Step Challenge

We are into the last week of "Every Step Counts" challenge and we are in 65th position in Ulster which is great work by everyone.  Well done to all who participated and keep up the good work for the last week.

 

Football All Stars

Congratulations to the Galligan cousins Raymond and Thomas from the Lacken Club on their fantastic achievement of being named on the Football All Stars team of the year in their respective positions of Goalkeeper and Midfield.  Also to Pat Faulkner, Kingscourt Club on being named full back on the team.  Well done to all.
