The Go Fund Me page set up to raise money ahead of the All-Ireland final for the Kilkenny camogie side is over 60 per cent towards its €5,000 target.

In normal circumstances the Kilkenny board and players would be able to get sponsorship from local businesses ahead of a final appearance but with the country only now exiting a six weeks of Level 5 Covid restrictions, the Kilkenny Camogie board decided to opt for a Go Fund Me page instead.

“In the past, the girls would all approach local businesses for some sponsorship for the final,” explains the fundraiser. “However, with the very short window and the Covid regulations, this will not be possible this year. We are appealing for any donation, big or small, which you feel you might be able to contribute.”
