Laois will play Carlow in the Joe McDonagh Cup final on June 6th after recording an emphatic 1-29 to 0-19 victory against London in Ruislip this afternoon.
The in form Aaron Dunphy starred for the O’Moore men, who led by 0-16 to 0-10 at half-time, by registering 0-13 over the 70 minutes at McGovern Park.
Dunphy extended the visitors’ lead to seven early in the restart and, while London closed the gap to three with scores from Jack Loughnane, Conor Byrne and Ronan McGrady (two frees), Laois pushed clear again and wrapped up the win with a late Cillian Dunne goal against the already relegated hosts.

It means that Tommy Fitzgerald’s men will face Carlow at Croke Park in the second-tier competition’s final on Saturday week, with the Barrowsiders losing to Antrim this afternoon having already qualified for the decider prior to this weekend’s final round of fixtures.
Goals from Joseph McLaughlin, Keelan Molloy and Ruairi Donaghy helped Davy Fitzgerald’s side to a 3-26 to 1-15 win at Corrigan Park.
In Ballycran, Down got their third win of the competition by seeing off opponents Westmeath on a 1-28 to 1-18 scoreline.
Ruairi McCrickard’s goal was the difference between the sides at half-time (1-11 to 0-11) and Mourne men would push clear in the second-half with the help of scores from Pearse Og McCrickard and Finn Turip prior to Jack Gillen grabbing a late consolation goal for the visitors.
