The draw for the Waterford SHC semi-finals has paired Ballygunner with Mount Sion and Dungarvan with Roanmore.

The all-city meeting of eight-in-a-row chasing Ballygunner and Mount Sion promises to be a tasty affair. 'The Gunners' show no signs of slowing down after they cruised to a 1-23 to 1-15 victory over Fourmilewater in the first of the weekend's quarter-finals. Pauric Mahony scored 0-9 and Kevin Mahony bagged 1-3 for the champions who are now 41 games unbeaten in Waterford.

Austin Gleeson hit 2-4 as Mount Sion edged out city rivals Passage by 2-19 to 3-15. Gavin O'Brien's late free handed Roanmore a dramatic 4-14 to 4-13 victory over Maurice Shanahan's Lismore, while Patrick Curran and Michael Kiely scored 2-10 and 3-2 respectively for Dungarvan in their 5-16 to 1-18 win over Abbeyside in the last of the quarter-finals at Fraher Field yesterday.
