There were emotional scenes at the Athletic Grounds this evening as Monaghan players took to the pitch for the Ulster U20FC final against Down, just two weeks after the death of their captain Brendan Óg Duffy.
Brendan was tragically killed in a road crash hours after leading his county to victory in the semi-final.
His teammates wore black armbands and stood together to remember 'Ogie', as they knew him, before throw-in as a minute's silence turned to a minute's applause.
Silence, then applause
