Corofin dished out another hefty beating in the Galway SFC this evening, as Monivea-Abbey suffered at the hands of the All-Ireland champions at Tuam Stadium, 4-18 to 0-7.

Following their ruthless first round dismantling of Oughterard, Corofin picked up where they left off in Group 4A to ensure their progress in the knockout stages. Dylan McHugh and Michael Farragher ran in goals as Kevin O'Brien's charges held a 2-8 to 0-3 half time lead. Substitute Colin Kelly applied the finishing touches with two more majors.

Elsewhere, Paudi Mac Cormac was in superb form for An Cheathru Rua in their 0-15 to 1-10 win over St James' in Spiddal.
