Former Kerry attacker Kieran Donaghy says he’s “very excited” to learn from Kieran McGeeney as he gets set to step into Armagh’s senior football management team.

McGeeney confirmed yesterday that the four-time All-Ireland winner would be coming on board with the Orchard men and, speaking on Off The Ball, Donaghy says he’s relishing the opportunity.

"I watched this Armagh side against Mayo (in 2019) when I was working with Sky Sports and they lost by a point in the qualifiers," said the Austin Stacks clubman.

"I was extremely impressed with what they were doing and the young talent that they had.

"I'm very excited to get the chance to learn from Kieran McGeeney. He came straight out of his playing days and into management.

“He took that Kildare side to the verge of an All-Ireland final and has done great work with Armagh. It’s going to be really exciting for me and a huge challenge."
