Antrim closed out in impressive fashion to crush Down and book their slot into the first round of the Leinster U20 hurling championship against Dublin.
It finished 3-24 to 2-14 in Ballycran, where the Saffrons fired in three goals in the closing stages to settle the issue against their Mourne counterparts.
Antrim led by 0-12 to 0-7 at the half and looked in control throughout the game’s third quarter until Padraig Doran hit the net hit the net for Down.
Doran’s strike made it 0-18 to 1-11 just before the second water break and when the match resumed after it was the Glensmen that blitzed their opponents with goals to set-up a date with the Dubs.
