Antrim county board has decided to cease all of its 2020 club competitions with immediate effect.
Antrim GAA tweeted this morning that all competitions under its control “will cease with immediate effect” and that it would not be completing any outstanding fixtures for the 2020 season.
In a letter to its clubs, the association said that the decision had been taken in the interest of public safety and cited 'post-match celebrations and a lack of social distancing at certain events' as being problematic.
Following a county board meeting last night, Antrim GAA have now taken the decision to end all of its club competitions until next year.
