St Pats do not have a camogie team and Glenealy do not have a football team hense why you have players dualing for both teams, Just like Balto some players there ply their trade with Kiltigan and Donard in the camogie,

Great Achievement for Des. But it doesn't say much for the Development of the Game, when teams have to field players of Des's age!

Hacker 99 - Rules of GAA are that if a Club does not affiliate for a sport, then their members can play for a neighbouring parish. Most Ladies GAA Teams are made up with players from 3 or 4 parishes.

Well done Des on recent achievement on winning Junior Hurling with Aughrim! Played underage with Aughrim and Des was always a man with excellent knowledge and always 1 with encouragement. Very nice man who has a friendly word for everyone!

"Wicklow Town girls tend to play camogie with Glenealy just like the Glenealy Girls tend to play their football with Wicklow Town!" Is there a reason for this and how does it fit in to the rules and regulations of both associations. Surely a town the size of Wicklow can provide both and not depend on a one horse town (pub) to provide the camogie playing facilities for the surrounds of our county town.

The Wicklow of Wicklow
The Wicklow ladies football team won the Leinster championship this year, they were beaten in the all ireland semi final.
They have a outstanding array of talent in the team who should go further next year.

The standard of both club county finals were very high, with Eire Og (Greystones) winning Junior and AGB (Arklow Geraldines Ballymoney) winning Senior.

Both teams faired well in Leinster ad were knocked out at the semi-final stage.

Come and watch some Ladies Football in Wicklow, you might be surprised at how good the standard is.

Please, Please. Can somebody make something happen with the camogie. The girls are there. Where are the camogie teams in the big towns, there is no Wicklow Club, no Arklow Club and an effort of a Club in Bray. Where is the development of camogie in Wicklow. I hear there is a county board, I dont see evidence of a County Board though. Come on gals of wicklow lets get more players, more clubs and a younger, more energetic and enthusiastic County Board for 2009

Would be great to see something happen with the camogie , We do have the Girls but don't seem to have the guidence hopefullly at the AGM it will change , the deadwood in it has a bit to answer for ie . the All county league final some bad blood after the final . I.E the ref being one sided , game delayed as Donard/Glen girls were playing a football final over the hill in Laragh for Baltinglass ...Lets pull together and have a great 2009

Panel 2009
Can someone please sum up Dan Doona for me?? I have heard so much but seen so little!! How has a man become such a popular topic in a county he does not even hail from?? Would he be, or is he, this celebrated as a footballer in Kerry??

I know we have some quality defenders but I still see Kavanagh causing us a lot of bother if he's on form!!!

Well now isnt that great, the women o wickla playing football and camogie. Tell me how does a county become a football county and is there any chance of defecting to being a camogie county.
