Congratulations to all involved with our U17 Hurlers who travelled to Pearse Park in Arklow to take on Northern Gaels in the A Shield final on Saturday afternoon. An excellent performance from start to finish saw the lads deserving winners. Congratulations to Paddy Moorehouse on the Man of the Match performance. Hard luck to our Intermediate hurlers who lost out to local rivals Glenealy in the Intermediate Hurling Championship Semi-Final on Saturday in Pearses Park. Full time: Glenealy 3-11 St Patrick's GAA 0-13

Well done to all involved with our minor ladies who had home advantage in the first knock-out game of the Championship against An Tochar in Dunbur on Sunday for a 4:30pm thrown in.  The girls put on a strong performance and were deserving winners. Full Time: St. Patrick's 8-13 An Tochar 0-06. 
They now face Bray Emmets next Friday night away in Bray.

Wicklow County Minor ladies  are requesting following on from the success of our Under 17s in the All-Ireland blitz, that all clubs and players make themselves available for the Wicklow County Minor ladies squad Trials for 2018 which  will take place on Sunday 15th of October, Sunday 22nd October and Sunday 29th (if required) at 10.00am each Sunday in a venue tbc (hopefully Ballinakill). These trials are open to any player born 2000 or 2001 and all our players are invited to attend. Subsequent to the trials coaching will commence prior to Christmas and then renewing early in the New Year as the Leinster Minor Championship commences in early February. All parents should contact Jo Katus as soon as possible at 0861571509 confirming their daughters name, date of birth, club and playing position together with a contact number. We hope all clubs will encourage their players to attend the trials.

Community Care Roadshow which is a series of talks by Wicklow County Council, Garda Siochana, Wicklow Fire Service and HSE on topics including Safety, Security and Age friendly will take place in St. Patrick's GAA Clubhouse, Dunbur on Thursday 9th November 2017 at 7.30pm until 9pm

St Patrick's GAA Club Draw 2017: This year the club is running a draw to support the fundraising drive required to develop a new pitch at our new Greenhill Road field. Tickets are €50 each and there will be a monthly draw at the end of September, October & November.

All funds from this draw will go to the new pitch and we will use this as the main fundraising event this year for the new development, so it is vital for the success of this project that you give as much support as you can.

Please return the completed tickets and your payment to any member of the Club Committee or the Manager/Administrator of your team.

Our sincere condolences to the family of Jimmy Sinnott (Sinnott Autos, Wicklow Town) who passed away recently, husband of Margaret and the late Kitty, sadly missed by his wife, sister Susie Lawless, children Noel, Carolyn, Paul, John and Yvonne and step daughter Kim, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, relatives and friends.

Our sincere condolences to the family of Mervyn Morrison (Hillside Grove, Wicklow Town) retired Bank of Ireland, who passed away peacefully, after a bravely fought battle in the care of the wonderful staff of the Blackrock Hospice, Dublin. Much loved husband of Marie and wonderful Dad to Barbara, Jenny, Jill and Robbie. Papa Merv to his adored grandchildren, Will, Ben, Lucy, Dan, Sophie, Molly, Sarah and Louise, sons-in-law Alan, Brian and Damien and Robbies girlfriend Angel. Sadly missed by his twin sister Vivienne, brothers Harry and Ken, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and his many friends.

Our sincere condolences to the family of former Club President Very Reverend Francis Canon McDonnell, Belvedere, Lynn, Mullingar, Westmeath who has passed away peacefully on October 3rd 2017 after a short illness bravely borne with dignity and courage. (Retired Parish Priest of Terenure and Wicklow) He will be deeply missed by his brother Jimmy, sisters Eileen (Tormey), Kathleen (Eyres), Norah (Sheehan) and Antoinette (Byrne), sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, adored nephews, nieces, grand-nephews, grand-nieces, relatives and many friends. He will be sadly missed by The Most Reverend Diarmuid Martin (Archbishop of Dublin), his fellow Priests in the diocese of Dublin and Meath, The Most Reverend Michael Smith (Bishop of Meath) and the Priests of Mullingar Parish.
