Blessington club notes
02 October 2017
Seniors – We are asking all the businesses in the town to support our Senior team by putting up bunting and flags on their premises. It has been 29 years since our seniors have been in a County Final and 34 years since we last won it. Please support the lads. The club are behind them so let’s get the community to support them also. Wouldn’t it be wonderful for the town to support the lads who have made a big commitment to their club, management, community and themselves?

U8’s – Both of our U8 hurlers were out v Eire Og at home on Sun 1 Oct. Huge appreciation to Eire Og GAA as they put out 2 divided even teams having an older and stronger outfit than us. Huge encouragement from both sidelines throughout the games which were fantastic games to watch and hurling won on the day. Some great scores on the day - the best coming from Kayden McMahon and Callum Jordan Dempsey on pitch A.The best tackling and blocking came from great fallen hero's who were Cillian Curry, Fiacha Duffy, Emily Behan and Callum wishing them all speedy recoveries. On pitch B it was also a cracker with all the lads playing their hearts out with Fionn Whelan, Sean Parelles Molloy and Austin Murphy coming to the fore. Management would like to thanks all parents for their help especially Mark McMahon, Dave Fairfax; Mick Flemming and especially Elaine Duffy who was selling all our Punchestown Race Day tickets.
U10’s – U10 hurlers have had three games so far in the NKL with 2 wins and a loss.
