Blessington Seniors –  Blessington 2:14 - Dunlavin 1:12. Blessington made it three wins from three in the league against Dunlavin on Sunday evening.  The game was tight throughout and Dunlavin never recovered from the excellent first half produced by Blessington  who led 1:07 to 0:05 at half time. Blessington scored the same amount in the second half and they had a man advantage after Eoin Murtagh was shown a red card.  Blessington were always ahead and the last three points from Dunlavin meant an exciting end to the game. The squad for the day: S. Kitt, B. Murphy, M. Mcloughlin, S. bohan, K. Hanlon, J. Gilligan, B.Finan (0:1) D. Boothman (0:1),  D. Ryan (0:1) J. Nolan (1:0), P. O'Connor (0:3), C . Kenny, M. Jun A – Blessington had a home game v Baltinglass on Sat 8 Apr and lost by the minimum in a tightly fought contest. Final score Blessington 3-05 Baltinglass 0-15. Next up is away v Stratford at7.15pm.

Senior Ladies – Hard luck to the ladies who were beaten on Sat 8 away v Baltinglass on a score line of 2-13 to 1-10.  Senior ladies face O’Dwyer’s away on Wed 12 at 7pm.

Thanks to everyone who volunteered their time for the ladies bag pack in Supervalu over the weekend and thanks to the kind support shown by the community. It is very much appreciated.

U16 ladies – Hard luck to the U16 ladies who lost their first league game at home v Eire Og on a scoreline of 4-06 to 1-08. Next up is an away game to Newtown on Tues 11 Apr at 7.30pm.

U12 ladies – U12 blue and white teams v Baltinglass at home 7pm on Tues 11 Apr.

U14 ladies – Tues 11 At home v Baltinglass at 7pm. Girls away v AGB on Thurs 13 at 7pm.

U10 girls - What a super performance on a beautiful day from our U10 girls at their first blitz this year in Ballinakill. Blesso dominated all three of their games with a serious effort put in by all girls resulting in a win in all three.

U8 girls - U8 girls had their first matches of the year in Ballinakill on Sat 8 Apr when they played Baltinglass, An Tochar and Ashford and won 2 and lost one. Well done to all the girls that took part.

Physio -Physio on Wed at 7pm in the clubhouse. €5 donation. Players training will have first preference.  

G4M&O – G4M&O – Training Wed 7pm to 8pm starting this week on the pitches. New playing members are always welcome. Anyone over 18 is welcome to come along and try it out for a few weeks no previous football experience is needed. Academy - Blessington GAA Academy runs every Sat morning from 10am until 11.15 am for boys and girls aged 4 – 6. The purpose of the academy is for the kids to have fun and to introduce children to the basic skills of Gaelic Football. New members are always welcome throughout the year. The club has many teams for boys and girls aged from U7 up to U18. Go Games – What a super start to the football Go Games (U7 and U9) in Blessington on Sat 8 Apr Blessington, Hollywood, Valleymount and Kilbride/Lacken played in beautiful sunshine. Well done to all concerned.

U8 NKL – At home v Celbridge at 6.45pm.

U10 NKL -  On Sat last, we were at home for rescheduled Celbridge game and the lads dug deep from being behind at half time to win. Well done to all players. 

U11’s Wicklow League – On Wed 5 Apr at home we fielded two teams v Baltinglass in the first Wicklow game and had comprehensive wins for both teams to start the year off very well. All players did very well and played very nice football. Welcome our new players to our squad this year. It is always good to see new players. Next up is away this Wed 12 Apr away v An Tochar at 7pm.

U11 NKL - The latest league match was played away to Raheens on Sat 8 Apr. With the aid of a strong wind Blessington were leading at half time, but in a tough physical match the Raheen team finished strongly to win well. The team is improving match on match with these games and this will stand them in good stead for later matches in Wicklow league.

U12’s/U13’s – U12’s and 13’s Training cancelled this week due to Easter Camp and games. Played Eire Og on Mon 3 Apr. Teams were very close at half time and Blessington looked good but Eire Og dominated the 2nd half and won well in the end. Up-coming games: U12 V Clane Thurs 13 Apr is cancelled as Clane can’t get full team.

U13’s – Next up is St. Pat’s at home on Mon 10 Apr at 7pm.

U15’s – U15’s started their Wicklow league campaign with a win over An Tochar on 5 Apr at home. Blesso started well with the visitors coming back into the game with score 0-7 to 0-4 after 15min. The lads then moved up a gear and ran out winners 9-15 to 0-4. Well done lads! Next up is a home game v Clara at 7pm.

Minors – A good home win for the Minors in the first game of the league at home on 3 April v Clara Gaels 2-10 to 2-06. Next up is away v St Nicks in Dunlavin on Mon 10 Apr at 7pm.

Hurling -  Go Games at home on Fri 14 Apr. We will be hosting teams from Dunlavin, Hollywood and Stratford/Grangecon at 6.3-pm.

U8’s NKL- A game scheduled to take place for our 2 U8s teams at home on Sun 9 v to Cappagh and Rathangan was cancelled as both teams pulled out.

Go Games – Fri Apr 14 at 6.45pm – Blessington will host Stratford, Kiltegan and Fergal Ogs.

Easter Camp -  Well done to Jess Brennan, Pat Brennan and their army of helpers who will host nearly 200 boys and girls for our Annual Fun/Skills Camp 10am – 2pm. We look forward to an action packed two days of football Fun! Hopefully no rain jackets needed but please make sure your child packs one along with their lunch, gear & gumshields! On both mornings please register/sign in your child at the dressing rooms.

Cul Camp – Football 10 July - 14 July and hurling 24 – 28 July.

Kellogg's GAA Cúl Camps 2017 - Do you want to Coach on our Kellogg's GAA Cúl Camps 2017? If yes complete the attached Coaches Application Form which is available on our Facebook page. Coaches must be over 18 years old on the first day of the camp on 3rd July 2017. NOTE: Coaches must be a paid-up member of their local GAA club. A Coaching Qualification, Code of Ethics, Garda Vetting and/or Coaching experience and/or evidence of voluntary coaching/work is mandatory in applying for this position.
