Crookedwood GAA Notes

August 21, 2017

Intermediate Championship
Crookedwood 1-19 Southern Gaels 0-9.  We got through round 3 of the championship with the minimum of fuss on Sunday morning last, however, there is plenty for the players and management to work on for the next round vs Cullion. Subs: D.Hyland for J.Nally, Richie Crowley for N.Kiernan, Henry Reilly for Gilbert, Andy Boyhan for K.Yourell, Barry O Mara for I.McGovern

U21 HC

Eire Og travelled to Collinstown to take on the home team last week in the U-21 championship. After an enjoyable 60 minutes the teams were deadlocked and as darkness approached extra-time had to be used to try and separate the teams. However, the extra 20 minutes could not produce a winner and both sides must go at it again. This was a good game of hurling which neither side deserved to lose. Crookedwood were represented by Johnny Nally in defence, Ian McGovern in the middle of the park, and Brendan McCarthy, Cian Yourell, and Chris Gilbert in the forwards and all played their parts to the full.

Fixtures.

Fixtures will be posted on the website and on Facebook as we receive them. They are also available to view in local papers and www.westmeathgaa.ie
