Bad luck to Westmeath v Dublin on Sunday. In such a one sided game it is difficult to see any positives but the experience of playing at that level at such a venue against strong opponent can only yield fruit in other outings.  Westmeath face Armagh in next round of the qualifiers and the players can look forward to showing their true colours again.
Best wishes to speedy recovery to Paddy Holloway who suffered a serious injury in recent Westmeath game (v Offaly) and will be sidelined for most of remaining year.  Paddy is a very popular player on and off the field, and his massive group of supporters wish him the best.  Paddy has shown a positive attitude and dedication to himself and his endeavours, so we will not be surprised to see him turning this obstacle into an opportunity and return better and stronger than ever.  Best wishes P.

Walking Track: available to all club members and is very popular during the current spell of weather.  New members welcome throughout the year.

Fitness Club is a popular fun and fitness facility for many of our club members with classes Monday Wednesday and Friday for ladies 6.45 and gents 7.45 under the guidance of Liam Fitzpatrick Paulette Heavin and Lorcan Dolan.

Club gear available online from O'Neills GAA club clothing www.oneills.com/shop-by-team/gaa/ireland/castledaly-gaa.html

Congratulations to everyone involved with Community Games again with reports of major prizes returning to Castledaly again this year.  Congratulation to Jacob, Abbie, Skyla and Corey who won medals at the county Art competition and well done to Rebecca, Shaun and Aoife who won county medals at the handwriting finals.  Keep up the excellent work everyone and all who support.

Congrats to Evan Daly who represented Westmeath in Mini Games at Croke Park on Sunday - a well deserved and earned honour for his performances as great Castledaly player through underage.

Castledaly Annual Road Race Challenge 5k & 10K took place Sunday 25th 11.30am and our amazing supporters registered to take part again this year. Finishing at the GAA Clubhouse in a rainbow of colours smiles and laughter it was another wonderful success and a great family day out.  Congrats to the winners in each race, and for your positive feedback.  Massive thank you to all who supported, took part, donated and to everyone working behind the scenes. Go raibh maith agaibh.
