This Sunday sees the Waterford senior hurling championship semi-finals take place.

Interestingly, they will be played at different venues with De La Salle meeting Passage at Walsh Park at 2.30pm, while at 6.30pm, Ballygunner face Lismore at Fraher Field.

Both games should be tight affairs, but De La Salle get the nod in the opening game and if the likes of Shane Ryan, Kevin Moran, Jake Dillon, Jack Fagan and John Mullane continue their good form, then they will be hard stopped.

The second semi-final sees the defending senior and intermediate champions meet and Ballygunner look to be the form team of the championship once again.

Lismore have the Shanahans, Dan and Maurice, in fine form, but they will need lady luck on their side to see off a Ballygunner side that have comfortably beaten many of the sides they have faced in the campaign.
