Waterford captain Kevin Moran hopes they don't let 'a huge opportunity' slip through their grasp in Semple Stadium on Sunday.

The Deise, who suffered a Munster final malfunction, will face neighbours Wexford with a place in the semi-final stage of the Liam MacCarthy Cup race up for grabs and Moran insisted they won't be taking Liam Dunne and his players for granted.

"They are on the crest of a wave at the moment and they are a dangerous outfit when they are like that," he pointed out to The Irish Independent.

"We are under no illusions what's ahead of us in terms of the Wexford game. Throughout the team they've a very strong spine.

"It's important for us. It's everything for us really to be honest with you - we have to get everything right.

"We have to stop the threat that they have from the likes of Conor McDonald, Lee Chin, Liam Óg McGovern and these boys, and it's just important that we work hard, get (the Munster final) out of the system and get ourselves right over for an All-Ireland quarter-final and a huge opportunity to get back to Croke Park in an All-Ireland semi-final - that's where you want to be."
