Maria Delahunty kicked a monster point to set the tone for Waterford in their in the TG4 All Ireland Intermediate Quarter-final against Sligo in Birr.

The centre-half-forward converted a free from outside the 45 metre line as the Deise Ladies avenged their Tesco NFL Final defeat by the Westerners.

After the game, manager and birthday boy Pat Sullivan praised his inspirational captain Linda Wall and looked ahead to a semi-final against Leitrim.
