Marty Morrissey has opened up on his failed attempt to chat up Cindy Crawford.
The RTE presenter, who is launching his new GAA show, 'The Marty Squad", encountered the supermodel at the 2004 Olympics in Athens and - like many before him - tried to get her attention:
"I spotted Cindy Crawford a couple of metres away. I shouted, 'Cindy, Cindy, Marty Morrissey, Irish television'," he told The Irish Independent.
"I didn't think she would've heard of RTE so I continued, 'We're from Ireland', and she turns and purrs 'Oh hi, I love Ireland', and kept going.
"It was the worst chat-up line I ever had, I never used it again."
