The Nire manager Benji Whelan is adamant that his side will have to improve on their semi-final performance, if they are to lift this year's county title.
Not since 2008 has the side tasted success in the senior football championship, but they have lost two finals since and they are aiming to put things right on Sunday.
A narrow win over An Rinn earned The Nire a place in the final where they will face Stradbally and Whelan admitted to the Waterford News & Star that both sides know each other very well.
"They know each other so well down through the years and the personnel are largely the same. It should be a great battle," said Whelan. "Hopefully, we can bring what we need to bring to make it a really good game."
