Tracey laments over loss

Waterford minor selector John Tracey feels that they just lacked a bit of composure to get across the line at the end of normal time.

The Munster side lost out to Kilkenny after extra time in their All-Ireland semi final clash at Croke Park last Sunday afternoon.

Waterford had made a late charge in the final quarter to get back into the match and Tracey feels that they should have won it at that stage.

"We were definitely on top in the last quarter. We made a couple of switches. I just myself that the lads were fantastic but if they look back on the video and think about it in the weeks to come we just lacked a little bit of composure at key moments in the game," Tracey told the Waterford News & Star.

"That's the difference of winning and not winning. As regards extra time, it just went pear shaped on us. Nothing went right for us in extra time but definitely we had the winning of the game. We almost had the All-Ireland final in our hands in normal time and we just lacked that tiny bit of composure."
