Rockland GAA club in New York have had their new playing field damaged by vandals in a white pick-up.

On October 7th, at around 9:15pm, the white pick-up truck, believed to be a Chevy Silverado, drove onto the pitch and performed numerous doughnut turns, cutting deeply into the turf.

Chairman Vince Tyer said he was awaiting a repair estimate from a landscaper and, depending on the cost and timescale, will decide on whether or not to cancel the season for both adults and about 600 children.
