Westput Setanta hosted a very successful Cul Camp

Junior B Hurling Championship Final.

Congrats to Le Cheile Hurling club who defeated Rockland GAA in the Junior B Championship final in Gaelic Park.
Both Le Cheile and Rockland have players who will represent New York GAA's American born Hurling team at the World Games in Dublin.


Hurling / Camogie at Shannon Gaels /Queens  Cul Camp.
Children enjoyed lots of fun games practicing the Hurling and Camogie skills during Shannon Gaels Cul camp this month. The camp showed an increase in numbers from last year with every child getting the chance to play and learn the skills of Hurling .


Hurling/Camogie Cul Camp big success
Cul camp season at Gaelic park was kicked off by a three days hurling and camogie camp for children aged 5-14. We had good numbers for this camp and great skills was seen and lots of games. Well done to all kids and coaches. On the last day we had former Gawlay Hurler Johny Glynn down to talk to the players.

Westput Setanta hosted a very successful Cul Camp with improved numbers from last year. Every child had the opportunity to play Hurling and Camogie. Great feedback from parents and coaches and the club even had a feature in a local paper.

HDO - Club development
Our Club development programme continued this month. With a number of teams from a various ages gaining benefits from it.


New York Cul camp goes viral
At this year's New York Cul camps children have been learning different aspects of Irish culture . This has included learning the Irish national anthem Amhrán na bhFiann. The video has got over 14 thousands views and was even shared by the official GAA social media . Have a listen for yourself.

Cul campers hooked on hurling
This summer has seen record number of children attending Cul camps in New York. Every child that has attended the camps has had the opportunity to play and learn Hurling and camogie.

Hurling history for New York Premier Team
History was made at CYC this year as in the under 18 county competition where New York play North America in the first time in history it was New York who was the victors. The New York team who have been training for the game showed great skill and hunger.


Congrats !
Congrats to Ger Lavery who was honoured at CYC by getting volunteer award for all her effort put into Camogie in New York she received the award from Camogie president Catherine Neary. Well-deserved award

Congrats to all our Hurlers and Camogs who represented New York Clubs at this years CYC in Chicago .Great skill and commitment from all players was on show from Under 8 right up to Under 18.Here are some photo's of a great 4 days at Gaelic Park in Chicago.
