It's team of the week time and Leinster champions Kilkenny have five players on our hurling selection...
1. Anthony Nash (Cork)
The Rebel netminder pulled off two fine saves to keep out goal attempts by Mark Schutte and Chris Bennett in Pairc Ui Rinn on Saturday evening.
2. Paul Murphy (Kilkenny)
Murphy and his defensive colleagues had their hands full in the first-half but got on top as the game wore on.
3. Damien Cahalane (Cork)
The Cork full-back expressed his relief that they were able to bounce back from the disappointment of their Munster SHC no-show against Tipperary.
4. Matthew O'Hanlon (Wexford)
O'Hanlon and his Model County team-mates overcame the challenge of Offaly and now switch their attention to a Round 2 fixture with the Rebel County.
5. Diarmuid Byrnes (Limerick)
Byrnes stood out in the Treaty County defence as they finished with nine points to spare over Westmeath in Mullingar.
6. David McInerney (Clare)
Clare will face sterner tests but Davy Fitzgerald will be happy to have McInerney, who raised three white flags against Laois before his withdrawal, back in his starting line-up.
7. Cillian Buckley (Kilkenny)
Made a timely intervention to clear his goal line in the 50th minute as Galway came close to resuscitating their ailing challenge.
8. Conor Fogarty (Kilkenny)
Was the standout midfielder on show in Croke Park from start to finish and raised three white flags for good measure.
9. Lee Chin (Wexford)
Fit-again Chin was the driving force behind the Model County's 1-21 to 1-13 qualifier victory over Offaly.
10. Tony Kelly (Clare)
The former 'Hurler of the Year' enjoyed a profitable day's work against the O'Moore County, accumulating 0-10 (seven from play) before being called ashore in the 48th minute.
11. Richie Hogan (Kilkenny)
Answered his team's SOS call and provided the catalyst for their impressive second-half showing with five points.
12. Cathal Mannion (Galway)
Took the fight to Kilkenny but his five points proved to be in vain as they fell off the pace after the resumption.
13. Jonjo Farrell (Kilkenny)
Netted the game's only goal in the 44th minute and also chipped in with four points as he picked up his first provincial medal on the field of play.
14. Aaron Shanagher (Clare)
The 19-year-old enhanced his growing reputation with a hat-trick of goals against Laois in Cusack Park.
15. Alan Cadogan (Cork)
The corner-forward's haul of 1-5 was a key component in the Rebels' three point qualifier victory over the Dubs.
