The dust has barely settled on this year's championships and already thoughts are beginning to turn to next year's campaign.

Teams will discover the identity of their first round opponents when the draws for the 2016 senior provincial hurling and football championships take place live on RTE2 television this evening at 8 o'clock.

Representatives from the four provincial councils will be on hand to perform the draws. In the Munster SFC, Kerry and Cork receive a bye into the semi-final, while Dublin, Westmeath, Kildare and Meath will receive a bye into the quarter-finals of the Leinster SFC. Kilkenny also have a bye into the semi-final of the Leinster SHC, with Offaly, Carlow, Westmeath and Kerry playing in the round-robin series.

It's an open draw, meanwhile, in the Munster SHC and the Ulster SFC.
