2014 North American Gaelic Games Finals at Canton

Jerome Quinn looks ahead to this week's 2014 North American Gaelic Games Finals at Canton - the biggest annual international GAA event outside Ireland.

From San Francisco on the West Coast to Charlotte and Raleigh in North Carolina, and from the Celtic Cowboys in Texas to the Cayman Islands, this year's Finals will bring together 2,500 players on 120 teams.

The event is proof that Gaelic Games are more popular than ever in North America and Canada, while areas like Texas in the deep South are becoming bigger and more confident.

'Watch out North East, North West and the Western Coast and everyone else because Texas is here to say and we're coming up strong', says Houston Gaels Chairman Philly Larkin.

Jerome also talks to Cayman Chairman Dave O'Connell and shows footage from the Ulster Club on Treasure Island, the Peach Cup in Atlanta and the CYC in New York.

It all starts on Friday morning with games at 8.00am and it finishes with Finals day on Sunday. Jerome is on Twitter @JeromeQuinn
