The hard work being put into gaelic football at underage level in New York is evident for all to see at Féile Peile na nÓg in Mayo this weekend

The U-14 footballers from the Big Apple topped their Feile Division 1 group today after claiming the scalps of no less than Castlebar Mitchels (4-8 to 1-3) and Ballyboden St Enda's (2-6 to 0-4).

A draw with Ballina Stephenites in their final game saw them finish top of the group and their reward is a quarter-final against Naas tomorrow morning (11am).

Not to be outdone by their male counterparts, the New York girls scored impressive victories over Glenamaddy/Williamstown and Roscommon Gaels. Tweet
