Twelve teams from four cities - Austin, Houston, San Antonio & Dallas - participated in six mens and Ladies Football Finals at Onion Creek Park in Austin on June 14.

Austin's Celtic Cowboys celebrated their 10th anniversary by hosting the showpiece day and by winning the 'best ever' game of Gaelic Football in Texas - 4-16 to 2-19 after extra-time against Dallas in the Mens A Final.

'It was one of those amazing Finals' said Cowboys star Kevin Morata. 'There was elation and tears at the final whistle'.

Houston Gaels Chairman Philly Larkin described the Final as an 'unbelievable spectacle', while 2013 Cowboys captain Scott Swiderski commented: 'I wish more Americans could see this to understand how great a game this is'.

'It's a joy', concluded Celtic Cowboys President Pat Doab. 'Three years ago we couldn't get games so it's progress across the board. It's phenomenal. Maybe someday we could have a National Championships in Texas'.
