Ó Fearghail to become next GAA President

Cavan's Aogán Ó Fearghail will be the next GAA President following his election at GAA Congress in Croke Park this evening.

The former Ulster Council Chairman was the clear winner in the vote at Croke Park tonight and will succeed Liam O'Neill in 12-months time.

Ó Fearghail garnered 170 votes, ahead of Seamus Howlin (83) and Sean Walsh (57).

The President Elect will assume office at Congress 2015.
