Dulwich Harps club notes

The upcoming week has one of much significance for the club as both the men's and ladies team go into action in their respective, league, cup and championship fixtures.

On Tuesday 26th of June, the ladies will take on St Anthony's in their second round championship match in Greenford. This is a must win fixture for the girls and the game is scheduled for a 7:30 throw in time.

The ladies continue to train on a Monday and Wednesday on Peckham Rye Common at 7:00pm.

On Thursday 29th of June, our senior men's team will take on Eire Og in the final of the McArdle Cup. The game is scheduled to be played in Greenford and has a throw in time of 7:15pm.

Then on Sunday 2nd of July, they will face Moindearg in Wormwood Scrubs in the penultimate league fixture of the season. The game is scheduled for a 2:00pm throw in.

Training will continue on Tuesday and Thursday evenings @ 7:15pm on Peckham Rye Common. For more information contact Alan (07472 211445) or Enda (07522 723765).

This week was also one of major success for a number of our juvenile players who represented south London in the All-Ireland under 14 Feile which took place in Clones last weekend. The boys defeated St Gabriel's of Galway in the final of the division 2 cup on the scoreline of 2-08 to 3-03. The club would like to congratulate all players, mentors and coaches on this momentous achievement.

Finally the club will running a night of the races in conjunction with St Pauls academy in aid of former Harps player Paul Bradley who is recovering from major surgery. The race night will take place at the Addiscombe Catholic social club: The Ballroom of Romance, 147 Bingham Road, Addiscombe, CR0 7EN and will begin at 7:30pm.

There will be a number of other activities and raffles taking place including an auction for a 1966 World Cup replica ball signed by Sir Geoff Hurst!
