Ballyea captured an historic first ever Munster Club SHC title while O'Loughlin Gaels and Cuala booked their places in the Leinster decider. Here's our club hurling team of the week...
1. Sean Brennan (Cuala)
There was little the Cuala 'keeper could do about St Mullins' 10th minute goal and he was an assured presence between the posts throughout.
2. Eddie Kearns (O'Loughlin Gaels)
The O'Loughlin Gaels man curbed the influence of Oulart-The Ballagh's Nicky Kirwan when he swapped corners.
3. Jack Browne (Ballyea)
Browne was one of the main reasons that Glen Rovers left Semple Stadium frustrated after their attack misfired.
4. Joe Neylon (Ballyea)
The same can be said for the corner-back and it was a real collective effort from the Clare outfit's rearguard.
5. Gearoid O'Connell (Ballyea)
Sound defensively, O'Connell also chipped in with three excellent long range points for good measure.
6. Paul Flanagan (Ballyea)
St Thomas' of Galway stand between Flanagan and Ballyea and a place in the All-Ireland Club SHC decider on St Patrick's Day.
7. Paul Schutte (Cuala)
Schutte and his Cuala club-mates will be hoping to go one step further than last year when they square up to O'Loughlin Gaels in the provincial decider.
8. Tony Kelly (Ballyea)
Everything the former 'Hurler of the Year' touched turned to gold in what was a mesmerising individual display.
9. Paddy Deegan (O'Loughlin Gaels)
Did his chances of a call up to Brian Cody's Kilkenny senior squad no harm at all with an industrious performance against the holders.
10. Niall Deasy (Ballyea)
The hard-working number 10's individual haul of 0-7 included four fine efforts from play.
11. Mark Kelly (O'Loughlin Gaels)
The centre-forward's 12th minute goal helped the Kilkenny standard bearers to settle and sowed the seeds for their nine point victory.
12. David Treacy (Cuala)
Top scorer for the Dublin champions with 0-7 (5 frees) as they finished with 12 points to spare over St Mullins in Netwatch Cullen Park.
13. Sean Treacy (Cuala)
Along with his brother David, Sean was a constant thorn in the side of the Carlow's outfit's defence and he chipped in with three points.
14. Mark Bergin (O'Loughlin Gaels)
Finished the Wexford Park clash as top scorer with an individual return of 1-8 which included 1-4 from open play.
15. Martin Comerford (O'Loughlin Gaels)
38-year-old 'Gorta' found the target with four points as he turned back the clock to deliver a brilliant performance.
