London GAA Development Academy
The London GAA Development Academy for developing young Gaelic Footballers within the County will be resuming training in the coming weeks. Over 100 young men have been selected to join the Academy this year but any Club who feels that they have a player who is capable enough and most importantly, committed enough, is more than welcome to contact me and send them in for training.
Ciaran Deely (London Senior Footballer Manager) in conjunction with Paddy Curtin (London Senior Football Coach) will be taking the sessions. The Academy will begin training on Saturday, February 13th and continue every Saturday for a 10 week period.
As there will be an indoor and an outdoor component to the training sessions, all players are asked to bring runners and football boots to training. Also, there will be a charge to all the players of £20 for the 10 week training programme to cover expenses incurred. This money will be collected the FIRST day so please ensure all players have it with them on the day. Players that have been selected and are asked to attend the Tir Chonaill Gaels Grounds, Greenford on Saturday, February 13th, 2016 with the session running from 2.00 p.m. - 3.30 p.m. (All players are asked to be in attendance AT LEAST 15 minutes before their session starts)

Safeguarding Course
A Safeguarding Course for London GAA will be run on Saturday the 19th of March from 9am till 12 Noon.
The Safeguarding Course limited to 25 people and in the interest of fairness, we will only accept 5 nominations from each Club.
Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis so please contact me ASAP if you are interested in attending.
Finally, under the new guidelines from the Provincial Council of Britain GAA, anyone involved with teams that have players under the age of 18 must be DBS certified, complete a Coaching Course and also, a Safeguarding Course so it is imperative that we get as many people as possible to attend these Courses over the coming weeks and months before the season starts as there will be a zero tolerance policy on this from the London County Board and the Provincial Council going forward.

12th annual St Patrick's Day Parade in the heart of London on Sunday the 13th of March

A warm invitation from our Ambassador Dan Mulhall and The Mayor of London and London Irish Community are calling all GAA Clubs and young Gaels in London to get involved in this years 12th annual St Patrick's Day Parade in the heart of London on Sunday the 13th of March 2016 to commemorate the 100 Year Anniversary of the 1916 Rising. The Embassy are very excited this year to be working with Transport for London on some initiatives to bring St. Patrick's Day, all things Irish and the Irish in Britain to the London Underground.

A central idea is to have key tube stations showcasing Irish creative talent on, or around, Saturday 12th, Sunday 13 March 2016 (to coincide with the London St. Patrick's Day Festival and Parade) and St. Patrick's Day itself (Thursday 17 March 2016). We would urge as many of you as possible to take up this fantastic opportunity for the Gaels of London to showcase their talents and be proud to wear your club or County colors while celebrating our heritage and culture and taking part in what promises to be a truly spectacular occasion for all involved. The parade leaves Green Park at 12 noon and features spectacular pageantry, wonderful floats, marching bands from across the UK, sports clubs and Irish dancing schools. If you are interested please go to register if you and your Club/organisation/group wish to take part apply before Friday 19th February.
