Seniors
A great weekend for the club with three victories began with the seniors continuing their good run on Saturday in Greenford with a comprehensive win over the Kingdom with a final score of 3-12 to 0-9. It was solid performance all-round with the back line doing well in particular. Best on the day were Cathal McGee, Adrian O'Hanlon and Liam Gavighan. Next up is the league final on Sunday at 3pm in Ruislip against the Kingdom or Fulham. This time may change so keep an eye out for any fixture updates during the week.

Juniors
The Juniors beat Round Towers on Saturday in Greenford in the Semi-Final of the homegrown competition. A fine spell at the start of the second half put the Towers to the sword. The defence was solid and Ryan Kearney stood out in a good performance in midfield. The final is fixed for a week on Tuesday. The lads welcome Thomas McCurtains to Greenford on Sunday at 1.30pm in the 2nd round of the championship.

Reserves
The battle cry again was sent out to players far and wide as the Towers visited Greenford. With the dust and cobwebs wiped from the boots the Gaels dominated the game with Declan Meehan, Johnny Mac and Declan Alcorn controlling the game. The Gaels ran out deserved winners. Final score 2-13 to 0-8. Next up is Kingdom this Thursday evening.

Quiz Night
A great nights craic was had on Friday evening at the clubhouse for a quiz held in conjunction with the guys cycling across Ulster in September. Stocker (backed up by wise owls Michael Mullen and Stevie Keane) acted as an able quizmaster and the highlight of the night was his music round in which his music from the 40's provided great nostalgia!! Seamus, Tom and Anna Carr made it a family affair by winning with the assistance of Seamus Harley, as soon as he walked through the door Carr had his eyes on the lethal St Nauls man and nailed him down by getting him a swift beer!! The guys who won the wooden spoons won't be named and shamed and we hope they do their homework next year. Close to £900 pounds was raised and well done to Stocker for organising. Thanks to Michael and Darren at the clubhouse for providing the refreshments and the various sponsors for the spot prizes.

Charity Cycle
Tir Chonaill Gaels oldest veteran once again crawled to finish the Etape du Tour last Sunday 19th July. Frank Glynn attacked this years Tour de France 19th stage containing three big climbs over the alps. The veteran, now riding his fifth etape, had a memorable day in the mountains attacking from the start finishing at La Toussuire in a respectable time considering the numerous rest breaks required! He is now looking forward to taking on the hills of Ulster in the forthcoming Tir Chonaill Gaels cancer charity cycle. Well done to him on the Frank on the feat. Frank can be visited at the local old folks home enjoying a three recuperation.
