Last Match - Shield Cup Final: St. Joseph's 2-10 v Garryowen 3-3
We played Garryowen in the final of the Shield Cup yesterday, Sunday, 26th July, in Ruislip. The final score was St. Joseph's 2-10 Garryowen 3-3. Scorers for St. Joseph's were: Gartlan, James (1-0); Gormley, Tom (0-1); Gregory, Paddy (0-1); Holland, Gearoid (0-1); Killeen, Mark (1-0); McCauley, Shane (0-1); McGovern, Eamonn (0-2; 1f); McNulty, Mark (0-4; 3f).
We last won the Shield Cup in 2010. This is our second piece of silverware this season, having also won the Murphy Cup.
The game saw a Man of the Match performance from Captain, Mark McNulty; when the chips were down, the Captain, St. Joseph's longest-serving player, who has been playing with St. Joseph's for over 10 years, scored three points in three minutes to bring the team back into the game. Well done, lads.

St. Joseph's GAA Club Golf Classic - Saturday, 25th July
Our golf classic, which was held last Saturday, 25th July, was a great success. Many thanks to all those who took part, especially those who travelled long distances, those who sponsored tee boxes and prizes, Mike and his staff at Flynn's Bar & Diner, West Ealing, for the lovely food, hospitality and music afterwards, and to our social committee, especially, Conor, Derek, Eamonn and Luke, for all their hard work and organisation - the huge success of the day was down to them.
