Exiles relocating to London Irish RFC training base

London will play their home Allianz Football and Hurling League games next year at London Irish Rugby Club's Hazelwood training facility.

The Exiles will move there on a temporary basis while the €5 million redevelopment of the Emerald Grounds is Ruislip is being carried out. Hazelwood is also expected to host All-Ireland club SFC and SHC quarter-finals involving the London champions at the end of this year.

The Ruislip works, which will get underway in the coming weeks, are due to be completed in time for London's Connacht SFC meeting with Mayo in 13 months' time.

GAA president Aogán Ó Fearghail told RTE: "I would like to thank London Irish Rugby Club who are providing facilities.

"It is important to acknowledge that there is a close bond and friendship between the London Irish and the GAA in London."
