Match report
Brendan's second game of the season was against Tara in the Murphy cup at Greenford. Aided by a strong breeze, Brendans opened the scoring with a brace of points from the boot of Michael Mossey. Tara's responded with a free before Niall Campbell and John Bo Daly increased the Brendans lead. Indeed Daly was winning good ball in front and was denied a goal following a great save from the Tara's keeper. Tara's worked another score against the breeze but Jake McManus and Daly tagged points to the Brendans tally. Again, Tara's responded before Mossey and McManus completed the scoring to leave the halftime score, St. Brendans 0-8 Tara 0-3
Brendans knew they would be under more pressure playing into the breeze in the second half and again, the Tara keeper repelled another Daly effort on goal with a great save. Tara began to chip at the Brendans lead with two points, but Niall Campbell responded with a free shortly before a back injury ruled him out for the rest of the match. Tara's gained more possession, and fired three points in ten minutes to leave the minimum between the sides. Damien Walsh and Andy Hayes were sent on with the former extinguishing a number of Tara's attacks. Mc Manus fired over a well needed point for Brendans only for Tara's to respond. Finally, with the last kick of the game, Tara had a free to the left of the post around the 30 yard line, but the effort slide wide past the post. Indeed it was a composed final quarter from the Brendans that saw them retain possession and support each other that got them over the finish line. Final score, St. Brendans 0-10 Tara 0-9
Best for Brendans - Liam Sharkey in goals was solid under the high ball and cleared his lines well, Gary Carty tidied up around the full back line. David Dunne was busy as usual, with Paddy Irvine solid, blocking many Tara's moves through the centre. Thady Gavin and Noel Devine ensured honours were even in midfield. Niall Campbell and Jake McManus kept the Brendans scores ticking over while John Bo Daly was a constant threat throughout.
Brendans - Liam Sharkey, Gary Carty, Liam Doyle, Shane Healy, Shane Kennedy, Paddy Irvine, David Dunne, Thady Gavin, Noel Devine, Jake McManus, Eoin O Leary, Niall Campbell, Barry Llydon, John Bo Daly, Michael Mossey; Subs - Andy Hayes for Campbell (inj), Damien Walsh for Kennedy

Fund raising on behalf of London GAA Ruislip Development.
In 2013, the London County board of the GAA began plans to re-develop Ruislip GAA grounds. London GAA have to raise £500,000 to make this vision become a reality. Tremendous support has been pledged already, however with the help of the supporters of the GAA throughout the UK, this project will not go ahead. The stadium will be completed by May 2015 subject to planning permission being obtained in July 2014. For a donation of £125, the london GAA will erect a plague on a seat with your name or a name you nominate. Seats are randomly allocated although your name will be on a seat, it does not reserve you the opportunity to use the seat with your name on any given day.
Any member past or present who may wish to make a contribution on behalf of St Brendans London, please contact any committee member ASAP.
Congratulations
Congratulations to former St.Brendans and London player Fergal Greenan and Sinéad Carolan on their recent engagement
