MENS FOOTBALL NOTES

Training continues Tuesday and Thursday in Goodmayes at 7.30pm.

The Footballers beat Tir Chonaill Gaels 5-02 to 1-04 in round one of the McArdle Cup on Saturday 21st March. Both teams were visibly rusty in what was the first competitive game of the season. We were delighted to have a number of new players make their first appearance for the club as well as Sean Murphy and Dean Corrigan proving they are dual stars by putting in solid performances. Footballers are next out on; Sunday 29th March, at Greenford, in the McArdle Cup Round Two at 3.00pm against St Anthonys

MENS HURLING CLUB NOTES

The hurlers will be returning to training at the beginning of April but are welcome to attend the football fitness sessions in March.

The Hurlers have been drawn to play Fr Murphys in the London Intermediate Hurling Championship Preliminary Round scheduled for Weekend of  11th / 12th April

 

QUIZ NIGHT

The clubs first fundraiser of the Year to help our Hurlers, Mens and Ladies Football Teams will occur on Saturday 28th March with a Quiz (with a twist) at Tommy Flynns Bar, Leyton commencing at 8.30pm. The event if other years are to go by, should be a good night.

LADIES NOTES

Ladies training takes place on Thursday at 7pm in Goodmayes pitch (IG3 8XJ). No training this Tuesday 17th March.

Huge congratulations to ladies player Michelle Johnson who ran the Barcelona marathon.

We are based in East London; the club covers a wide area and current players live in many different areas, including, Gants Hill, Woodford, Leyton, Leytonstone, Stratford, Romford, Dagenham, Brentwood as well as many other areas.
