Thomas McCurtains was represented by Kieran Dowling (Kilkenny) and Philip Murphy (Wexford) in the first round of the Allianz Division 2A hurling league on Sunday 15th of February, which saw London travelling to Mullingar in the heart of Ireland to contest a young Westmeath team.

Although Westmeath were convincing winners, boasting a score line of 2-20 to 1-08; last season's club player development was illustrated through Philip Murphy who started at wing back and Kieran Dowling, who came off the bench to suffocate the efforts of the impressive Eoin Price.
