Ten inter-county teams will be eligible to resume collective training this Saturday.

Under the GAA's staggered roster system, the eight football and two hurling teams that exited the championship in June can commence their preparations for 2015 in three days' time. Last season's Allianz League finalists Derry are among the eight football teams who can return to training this weekend after their early championship exit at the hands of Longford.

By contrast, the All-Ireland hurling and football finalists (Kilkenny, Tipperary, Kerry and Donegal) are permitted from returning to training until December 29, which follows the mandatory closed period for games and collective training from December 21 to 28 inclusive.

The staggered roster for counties is as follows:

November 15 (teams knocked out in June) - London, Fermanagh, Derry, Offaly, Louth, Westmeath, Waterford, Leitrim (football); Antrim, Laois (hurling).

December 1 (teams knocked out in July) - Antrim, Longford, Wicklow, Wexford, Cavan, Down, Carlow, Tyrone, Limerick, Laois, Roscommon, Clare, Sligo, Tipperary (football); Clare, Offaly, Waterford, Wexford, Dublin (hurling).

December 8 (teams knocked out in August) - Meath, Kildare, Galway, Cork, Armagh, Monaghan, Mayo, Dublin (football); Cork, Limerick (hurling).

December 29 - Donegal, Kerry (football); Kilkenny, Tipperary (hurling).
