Fr Murphy's to drop investigation
August 21, 2014Fr Murphy's GAA club are not to pursue the investigation into the eligibility of a Robert Emmetts player.
The club were relegated following a defeat to Robert Emmetts in which forward Fred McAuley scored 0-14 points.
However, Fr Murphy's questioned the player's eligibility on the day of the game. The request to see the players' ID was no followed through by the match referee and Fr Murphy's were exploring their options, but it is not believed that they will not be following the matter any further.
