Training & Games
On Sunday we took on Moindearg in the Junior Championship semi-final in Ruislip. The weather conditions was always going to make this an interesting affair with a strong wind blowing down the pitch. We had the wind in the first half and failed to use it to our advantage. We were very slow to get into the game and Moindearg punished us building up a four point lead. A couple of scores before half time seen us get back into the game.

Half time score Eire Og 0-3 v 0-6 Moindearg.

The second half got underway with Moindearg playing with the wind. A quick ball into their forwards seen them score a goal with less than a minute gone in the second half. This was the wakeup call that we needed. Some good link up play seen us get a couple of scores on the board. Johnny Costello rattled the crossbar from close range. Our next attack seen Ronan Campfiled work the ball well from midfield to slot the ball past the Moindearg keeper.

We were dominating the game at this stage and took another couple of points to reduce the lead to one point going into stoppage time. We pushed on and with the final kick of the game got a point to draw the match.

The replay will take place this coming Saturday in Ruislip at 4:30pm. All support welcome.
