Sligo sisters Noelle and Aine Gormley came into direct opposition in the TG4 All Ireland Intermediate Championship at St Peregrine's in Dublin on Saturday August 9.

Noelle lined out for Sligo while Aine wore the green of London. The corner-forward moved to the English capital last October after playing for Sligo for seven years.

'It was very difficult coming up against friends and my own sister', said Aine. 'When I joined London I thought I wouldn't come across Sligo but these things happen'.

There was no family feud after Sligo won the contest as Noelle commented that 'blood is thicker than water' and Aine got behind her home county for the rest of the Championship.

'I'll definitely have my Sligo jersey on from now on, I hope they go all the way'.
