Scots ready for action

Scotland manager Cormac O'Gara is looking forward to this weekend's All-Ireland JFC semi final clash against Cavan.

The sides meet at Grattan Road, Edinburgh in a novel pairing in an All-Ireland championship on Saturday afternoon.

O'Gara admitted to the Irish Post that his side were in for a tough test, but stressed that they were eagerly awaiting the match this weekend.

"Like a lot of teams back home, Cavan use their junior team as a feeder to the senior," said O'Gara. "And they've had a lot of success at under-21 level over the past four or fives years and I'm sure there'll be a lot of those players playing on Saturday.

"Any team coming from Ireland to play an All-Ireland semi-final is a big game and the guys are looking forward to testing themselves against a very good Cavan side."

He added: "We had a couple of injuries since the British finals took place and they've gone away now and we're all set and ready to go. This is up there with the most important games in the county's history."
