Fr Murphy's Ladies club notes

July 23, 2014

Fr Murphy's farewell five.
"After a brilliant 2013, our 25th anniversary, where we captured the All Britain Football championship and the Mary Feehan Cup, in 2014 we have almost had to start again, with payers retiring moving away or suffering from long term injury, but we have held our own, winning the Ann Dunning memorial trophy, one game away from the senior league final and still in the London championship, then our camogie team who made great strides in the Birmingham International and Tara seven's tournaments, have the senior county championship commencing in August to look forward too.

We have some new players and some more on their way, so looking forward to keeping Fr Murphy's ladies to the forefront for this year and beyond.

Last week we gathered at the Piano & Pitcher in Richmond for a meal and to present trophies to a few girls , who were leaving London or retiring.
Hilary Duncan, returning to Scotland,Rosie Cully moving to Dublin,Sinead Daly, retired (for now), Sinead White moving to Mayo and Lorraine Dolan , moving to Qatar, it was a great evening in a beautiful setting.
