Tara Youth Club Notes

Well done to all the boys and girl from Tara GFC who attended Parnell's Blitz and family fun day on Sunday the 6th of July at Harrow Rugby Club. Tara's had U8's/U10'/U12's and a girls team on the day. All the teams showed high spirit and great determination in all their games. Unfortunately Tara's U12's were beaten in what was a fantastic nail biting final with Parnell's who won The Conrad Ryan Trophy. Thanks to all the managers and mentors and parents and most important the children who take so much enjoyment from all these blitzs.Well done to Parnell's on their win with The Gerry somers memorial cup and The Conrad Ryan trophy and to North London shamrocks with their win The Norah Tougher cup. Well done and thanks for the invite to all at Parnell's who worked hard to run this successful enjoyable day with a great atmosphere for all the family.

Young Whistlers Course

Well done to all at Tara Club who attended the Young Whistlers Refereeing Course last Thursday the 10th of July at Tir Chonaill Gaels Club in Greenford. Thanks to the tutors Paula Prunty Games Development Manager, Lyn Savage Games Development Officer, Helen O' Rourke CEOe , Karen Tougher Tutor, Pat Quill President of Ladies Football. We hope to see these youths putting themselves forward and gaining experience while refereeing our youths games here in London

London U16/U18's Football Teams

Well done to our Tara boys and all their team members on the London U16 and U18 Teams at Greenford on Saturday the 5th of July where London U16 team drew with Warwickshire with a final score of 3-07 each with replay on Tuesday the 15th of July. Well done to London U18's who defeated Warwickshire with a final score of London 3-11 to 1-06 Warwickshire

3rd Annual All Britain Competitions (ABC's)

Well done to all at Tara Club from the U8's up to the U18's both boys and girls who took part in the All Britain Competitions which was held last weekend Friday the 11th of July to the Sunday the 13th of July at Tir Chonaill Gaels GAA Grounds, Greenford, Thanks to all at Tir Chonaill Gaels and Provincial Council who worked so hard over the past number of weeks in preparation and to ensure that it was run smoothly over the weekend. Thanks again to all the children who turned out for their games and to all the parents who may have taken time off work to support this wonderful annual event where the children get so much enjoyment from Gaelic Games.

Tara Summer Camp

Tara summer camp will take place at Kingsbury Town Football Club on the Monday the 28th of July until Friday the 1st of August to finish up the camp with presentations from a very special guest. Camp is open to all clubs for boys and girls aged 4 to 12 years each day starting at 10am till 3pm. £14 per day and family discount apply. Tell your friends to come along and try out the Gaelic football with skills and demonstrations and games throughout the week all with qualified teachers and coaches.

Training Session at John Billam Grounds, Woodcock Hill

Training every Friday at John Billam sports ground, Woodcock Hill, Kenton, Harrow HA3 0PQ from 6.30pm till 7.30pm for the U6 till 8pm for all other age groups. Please can I ask all parents not to park on the grounds as this is private car parking .Please ensure that all your children are registered for insurance purposes with the club. Please make sure that all the children have their mouth guards at training/matches as they are now compulsory.

Training every Tuesday and Thursday 7.15pm sharp at Northolt Rugby Club, Cayton Road UB6 8BJ. New players welcome.

New players are always welcome from all areas - If you live in London or are planning to move to London and wish to join a friendly warm and dedicated GAA club. The Tara's club boast a full complement of teams Men's, Ladies Senior/Junior and the Youth Section cover all age groups U6 up to u18's with a Girls only section catering for U11's to U18's.
