Clan na nGael club notes

October 09, 2017

We will be hosting our 'Night at the Races' in JD's Bar Dunamanagh at 9pm this Saturday 14th October. Everyone welcome to come along on the night - guaranteed to be an exciting and enjoyable evening.

The youth programme will continue this week for all primary school children from 6.30pm - 7.15pm in Dunamanagh.

The U16 girls have now completed their season, after they were defeated in the championship semi-final by Owen Roes on Sunday. Many thanks to all the players for their efforts and to the management team throughout the year.

Anyone interested in representing the club in this year's Junior Scor are asked to contact Carole Doherty or Niall Conway. The first round will commence on Friday 13th October, time and venue to be confirmed.

The Walk/Jog/Run group continues as normal this week with training on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7.30pm and on Sunday morning at 8.30am in Aughabrack. New members are always welcome.

Our annual club dinner dance has been booked for Saturday 25th November at Murphy's on the Green in Strabane. Tickets will be on sale soon.

Good luck to former club player and manager Eunan Conway, who is currently managing his adopted club in Belfast, St Brigid's. They take on Dunloy in the final of the Intermediate Championship next weekend.

Lotto: P Q R W. There was no jackpot winner or match 3 winners. Ann Doherty was the subsequent lucky dip winner. Next week's jackpot is £2,340.

Everyone at the club extends their deepest sympathies to the family of the late Lily Quinn, Castlewarren. Mary Queen of the Gael, pray for her.
