The U10 boys had their first outing of the year at a very well run blitz in Cookstown, last Saturday (8th) morning. We fielded 2 teams of nine-a-side, played 8 games in total - winning 7 of them. We met teams from Edendork, Kildress, Moortown, and Cookstown. The lads were delighted with themselves and the sunny weather helped to bring a bit of colour to the cheeks and bald heads where applicable! Thanks to those parents who helped with lifts and supported the Young Hoops.

Our U14 girls played Omagh last Thursday (6th) in their third league game of the year. The girls had a great first half notching up 2-01 against Omagh's 1 point. Kayleigh Bell opened the scoring with the first point of the game followed in the 11th minute by a goal from Tara O'Neill after a great exhibition of teamwork. Shauna Traynor found the net again in the 17th minute for us after winning the ball out on the left hand side of the pitch.  Despite a lot of hard work form the team, we didnt manage any further scores in the first half. The second half started off well for Omagh as they found the net to bring themselves back into contention for the match. The Cill Iseal girls rallied though with points from Shauna Traynor and Sorcha McCool to help us keep the lead. Omagh managed another goal and a point and further points for Cill Iseal from Shauna Traynor and Nicole McGeoghegan left the game with a final score of Cill Iseal 2-05 Omagh 2-02. The Cill Iseal girls created several other chances for scores throughout the second half. Special mention to Shauna Traynor, Emily McKenna, Liane Mulgrew and Laura Canning for their work-rate throughout the game and indeed the whole team for the excellent performance.  Great improvement has taken place since the start of the season. The girls have a challenge game against St Macartans on Tuesday at 6.30 pm in Augher and training on Thursday 6-7 pm in Killeeshil.

The U14 boys played Eglish at home on Saturday (8th) and with another superb all round team effort, the lads won 5-17 to 3-9. It was a great performance in the second half to get another 2 points. Next game away to Ardboe on Thursday (13th) at 7.30 pm. Training continues Monday and Thursdays 7>8 pm.

The minor girls played Clonoe at home on Monday (10th) evening. Clonoe started strong scoring 4-2 to our 1-5 in the first half. With six points to make up the girls rallied and fought back to get a well deserved draw. Final score 3-15 to 7-3. The girls next match is this Saturday (15th) at home against Sperrin Og at 1.30 pm and then another away match on Easter Monday (17th) at 6.30 pm against Aghyaran.

Our minor lads were beaten at home by a very strong Dungannon team last Wednesday (5th). Next game is away to Ardboe on Wednesday (12th) evening at 7 pm.

Our senior and reserve men had their first competitive outing of the year last Sunday (9th) away to Killyman. The reserves won on a final scoreline of Killeeshil 2-10 Killyman 0-7. Our senior men lost a close game by a goal. Final score Killeeshil 2-10 Killyman 1-16. Training this week is on Tuesday and Friday at 7.30 pm as we prepare for the visit of Dregish this Saturday (15th). Reserve game is at 4.30 pm and seniors at 6 pm. All support is much appreciated for our men.
