McGrath pleased with squad strength

Fermanagh manager Pete McGrath

Ulster manager Pete McGrath is pleased with the squad that he has assembled for the Interprovincial semi-final.

The Northern province take on Munster in the semi-final at Parnell Park on Saturday afternoon, with the final taking place at the same venue on Sunday.

The Fermanagh manager acknowledged the fact that it is difficult to gather a squad together at this time of the year, but he told the Fermanagh Herald that the group he has is very strong.

"The availability of players is always an issue and all the provinces have experienced that but the squad that we've put in place for Ulster is a good squad with plenty of good footballers in it," said McGrath.

"When you're working with 30 good footballers it's a question of letting them go out and express themselves. You're not going to burden them with game plan and tactics. It's just a few basic principles, letting them play to their capabilities and seeing how far that takes us."
