Strabane Darkness into Light Committee are delighted to report the final sum raised from the inaugural walk in 2016 was £5384.00 (E6,700 approx). Pictured are some of the Strabane DIL Committee presenting the cheque to Donna Burke of Pieta House.

Donna commented "The cheque will be used by Pieta House to support families of those who have lost a loved one by suicide. Indeed, Pieta House plan to open a venue in the North west over the next 12 months to assist those in the region who have suffered such a loss".  

Ciarán McLaughlin, the Strabane DIL Chair added "the Committee of Strabane DIL thank everyone for supporting Darkness into Light 2016. Almost 600 people were in attendance on the morning and the Committee hope to build on the success of this initial event in 2017.
